Are you tired of hearing about covid-19? I think most of us are, but it’s only just begun so here are some common sense tips on coping.
~ Don’t listen to the hype. Follow the simple instructions of your local health unit. Avoid the mass media which can blow things out of proportion.
~ Stop panic buying. Toilet paper is made locally and is not going to be out of stock, however, now due to mass hoarding, the supplies are low. Be courteous and buy just what you need for the month. Avoid cleaning out the store shelves, and please share with others.
~ Learn to make alternatives and make due with substitutes. For instance, try baby wipes or use a spray bottle (aka sitz/peri bottle) if you are out of toilet paper. Avoid using thicker items such as paper towel as they may clog your toilet, but you can certainly cut smaller pieces of paper towel and/or napkins.
~ Stay positive. We will get through this together, so let’s help one another.
