It’s my favourite season ~ autumn, and harvesting is all around us. Are you a pumpkin spice fan or not?
Organic pumpkin puree is a staple around my home. It’s not just for eating, you can drink it, and use it in your beauty routine. Pumpkin puree is packed with vitamins and antioxidants that protect the eyes, cells, and skin from damage. Vitamins A, C, and E are great for your body and I am excited to share my favourite beauty tricks with you!

Pumpkin Spice Smoothie ~ vegan, gluten-free, low-fat, sugar-free
Tastes just like pumpkin pie, but without the naughty stuff!
1 cup organic pumpkin puree (unsweetened)
1 frozen banana
1 cup coconut or cashew milk
1 tsp pure vanilla extract
1 tsp pumpkin spice
~ In a blender, combine all the ingredients. Blend until smooth. Sprinkle extra cinnamon or pumpkin spice on top. Makes 1 shake. Enjoy!
Pumpkin Spice Body Scrub & Face Mask
If you love the smell of pumpkin spice you are going to fall in love with this decadent scrub. Will store for up to 3 months in a glass jar. Makes a fabulous gift….Christmas is coming.
1 cup organic coconut sugar, or organic cane sugar
1/2 cup cold coconut oil
2 TBSP organic pumpkin puree
1 tsp vitamin E oil
5 drops cinnamon essential oil
3 drops clove essential oil
~ In a clean blender or food processor, blend the coconut oil, vitamin E oil, and essential oils.
~ Pour into a clean bowl. Hand mix in the sugar and pumpkin puree.
~ If you don’t have the essential oils, simply add in 1 tsp of pumpkin spice mix (cinnamon, clove, nutmeg)
~ Scoop the mixture into a clean 8 oz glass container with lid, such a mason jar. Store in a cool dry place, or in the fridge.
Now you have a totally natural body scrub with no chemicals or harmful fragrances.
How to use your scrub:
- Scoop about 1 TBSP of the scrub into your hand, and gently rub on your body in a circular motion.
- Rinse of in the shower with warm water. Pat dry.
As a face mask:
- Scoop about 1-2 tsp of the scrub and gently exfoliate on the the face, avoiding the eyes.
- Leave on for 5-10 minutes.
- Rinse off, pat dry.
