What’s all the hype about Himalayan salt? Is there really a benefit to using it?
Himalayan rock salt come from the foothills of the Himalayan Mountains in Pakistan. This is an unbleached, unprocessed salt with a natural pink hue. It contains the same amount of sodium as table salt, but contains additional minerals and trace minerals such as calcium, potassium, magnesium, copper, and iron.
Himalayan Salt can be used for the following:
Cooking – adds flavour and essential minerals to our food. Much healthier than white table salt.
Ionizer – Himalayan salt lamps are said to balance electromagnetic radiation in our environment. This is why they are often placed by computers and televisions.
Soak – add these salts to your bath water. These mineral-rich salts detox the body, ease inflammation and pain, and relax the body for a better night’s sleep.
