Thoughtful Gifts on a dime

Ever feel like there is always an occasion to buy for? From birthdays, graduation, to mother’s and father’s day. It can get quite expensive.

Here are some gift ideas that won’t break the bank.

Bundle It

Gifts look bigger when bundled up. Find a pretty box, basket, or wooden cutting board at the dollar store.

Choose a theme:

ie: tea, coffee, spa, sweet treats. wine and cheese, charcuterie.

Add 5-8 items together, cellophane and a bow and it looks amazing!

Harvest It

Bring the outdoors in!

Seasonal fresh cut flowers and/or pampas grass, reeds, or pussy willows look beautiful when arranged in a unique vessel.

In addition, dried lavender stems or eucalyptus last a long time and smells great.

Container ideas:

Tea pot, vintage tin, metal watering can, vase.

A personal gift comes from the heart.

Why not DIY a natural bath salt, or body scrub? It’s easy and uses inexpensive ingredients.

Find unique glass containers at the dollar store, preferably with a lid.

From colourful mason jars, to apothecary jars.

Print personal labels, add a wood scoop or spoon, and you have a thoughtful gift.

Where to source your gift components?

Shop local. Visit your local grocery store, local florist etc.
