What is feeling cozy, and why is it important? Long before the “self-care” mantra began, Danish people celebrated Hygge (hoo-gah). This is a 16th century term that translates to mean comfort.
Before Covid, I really didn’t appreciate the joys of being comfortable. But during, and post-Covid, I’ve learned to embrace the simple joys of relaxing in warmth and comfort, without guilt.
Hygge is not lazy. Life gets way too busy, and stress is known to be a major contributor to physical and mental health problems. Recognize the need to slow down and recharge.
Make any day the perfect day to put on some warm, fuzzy socks, make a hot cup of tea….grab a book or magazine, sit by the window or curl up by the fireplace, put on your favourite music, light a few scented candles, and Hygge!
In celebration of all things cozy, we have put together a lovely Living The Cozy Life, Guide. This is not just a winter guide, it is a year long guide to happy, and healthy living….all year long. The guide is available to purchase, or is included in our new Living the Cozy Life Box.
We hope you enjoy it. Please feel free to share.
Warm and Cozy Regards,
